This Old Bar home needed an outdoor entertaining space that could handle direct coastal exposure — sun, salt air and the occasional storm. The brief was simple: something low-maintenance, built to last, and finished with a bit more character than a standard straight-lay deck.
Lleyton built the deck with a herringbone board pattern for a distinctive finish, framed on treated coastal-rated bearers and joists, with a matching pergola overhead for shade in the middle of the day.
The whole job — footings, framing, decking and pergola — was completed inside two weeks, with a fixed-price quote agreed before the first post went in.
